Welcome

Welcome to the Clare White Gallery – the primary outlet for the work of acclaimed St Ives water colourist Clare White (1903 -1997). Please explore this website to find out more about the artist’s life and work; view the original paintings and limited edition prints we have for sale; and find out about exhibitions we have planned in galleries and at art shows around the country. Our aim is to share our passion and appreciation for White’s characterful and accomplished work and champion her place in English art history and in the 21st century art market.

Two Talented Ladies – One Tour de Force

Clare White’s paintings hang alongside those of Countess Manvers – Marie-Louise Roosevelt Pierrepont – at a new exhibition that runs until Sunday April 22nd at the Thoresby Art Gallery in North Nottinghamshire. The show called ‘When Two Ladies Went Travelling…’ celebrates the talent of the two contemporaries as they both traveled the world and painted the places they visited and the people they met. The gallery is open 10.30am – 5pm daily. Visit www.thoresbycourtyard.com for more details.
