Welcome to the Clare White Gallery - the north’s leading specialist in quality Cornish art. We are based in the village of Elsecar, in Barnsley, South Yorkshire and sell a wide range of original paintings, prints, ceramics, textiles and jewellery – predominantly produced in the south west. As well as hosting regular temporary exhibitions, our collection of paintings always features an eclectic mix of naive, abstract and figurative pictures. We are also the primary outlet for the work of acclaimed St Ives water colourist Clare White (1903 -1997) and the gallery is named in her honour.

Barbara Karn’s evocative Cornish views - opens Saturday!
There will be an exhibition of paintings by Barbara Karn at the gallery from Saturday September 4th to Sunday October 24th. Karn’s evocative Cornish landscapes have a strong narrative quality - and her popular paintings of pigs, dogs and birds are full of character!
