Things get heavy in sunny St Ives
Just returned from glorious Cornwall. The sun never stopped shining and the surfers were out in strength on St Ives’ Porthmeor beach.
I picked up some wonderful new pictures from Seth Marshall, Lesley Ninnes and Gail Warner-Pryce plus met up with Thorie Hinds in Exeter. Her landscapes are really eye-catching and we hope everyone will find them as arresting as we do.
This picture of ‘Heavy cake’ (a creamy, raisin-filled pastry) by Seth inspired me to pop into a little bakers in Fore Street and sample some. Yummy!
Lesley’s pictures of Porthmeor capture the amazing colours where the waves lap the sand at the ‘island’ end of the beach.
It was great to catch up with everyone again and I can’t wait for our summer hols down there.
